Dear Lenah Run Frogger Parents,
On behalf of the Lenah Run Froggers Board of Directors and the 2010 coaching staff, I want to welcome you to the 2010 Season. This season marks the sixth anniversary of our community team. We expect to have over 100 swimmers compete this summer for the Froggers. As you know, swim team isn't just about the exercise, it is one of the few sport venues that spans multiple age groups and allows us all to work together in our community. I cannot tell you how happy it makes me to see you all get to know our children and cheer them on to personal victory. Their victory is not measured by only a first place ribbon. We are giving them a skill that they can use for a lifetime. Shooting for personal best times or seeing a swimmer do a legal butterfly is an awesome achievement. Last year the swimmers worked together to drop over 25 minutes off our "team" time and were rewarded with an ice-cream party.
I got to know a lot of your children last summer. I was proud of each one of them for participating in this wonderful sport. It is not easy to get up in the morning and dive into that cold water, you know! We welcome Coach Nick back this summer to lead our team. We have a good meet line up and as always, have some fun social activities planned. Thank you for your continued contributions to our swimmers, and our community. Welcome back!
